Free route: prepare, clear, collect

KaChaPond's narrated Insane queue reports a 20% chance to receive a Scientist Crate. Faron reports a separate 1% Engineer chance per opened crate. The drop and pull are different stages.

  1. Inspect the selected Insane queue. Check its current displayed crate reward and drop rate before starting.
  2. Equip opening damage and agree on coverage. In a team, decide who handles front damage and the rear before everyone invests in income.
  3. Keep an exit defender. The shown Insane group run fails when all defense is at the front and no one catches escapes.
  4. Complete the match successfully. Inspect the completion reward, then open any received crate.
  5. Count successful completed clears. Failed attempts and total queued games are not completed clears for the calculator below.

The Solo Hard coverage guide gives a specific cash and defense example in another mode; it is not a complete Insane win recipe. The Shop offers a paid route under its current purchase conditions.

Calculate crates or successful clears

Use opened crates when you already have boxes. Use completed Insane clears when you also need to model the crate-drop stage. The default rates come from the cited creators; change them to match the current UI.

Independent-roll model

What is your at-least-one chance?

At least one Engineer63.4%

100 opened crates · 1% Engineer chance per crate.

36.6% modeled chance of no Engineer. Past failed rolls do not make the next independent roll due.

Assumes fixed independent rates, one crate-drop roll per completed clear, one pull per received crate and no pity. Enter the rates in your current UI. Inputs stay in your browser.

Reference examples with fixed independent rates and no assumed pity.
InputAt least one EngineerWhat the count means
50 crates, 1% per pull39.5%Fifty already opened crates.
100 crates, 1% per pull63.4%A hundred already opened crates.
200 crates, 1% per pull86.6%Two hundred already opened crates.
100 successful clears, 20% drop and 1% pull18.1%A hundred drop trials, then one pull per received crate.

The two formulas

Opened crates: 1 − (1 − p)n.
Successful clears: 1 − (1 − q × p)n.

p is the Engineer pull rate, q is the crate-drop rate and n is the count. The tool converts percentages to fractions. With 1% and 20%, a successful clear has a modeled 0.2% Engineer path.

Different purchase conditions, different budgets

KaChaPond reports a 49-Robux single purchase. Faron reports a fifty-crate batch costing 2000 Robux; the narration does not establish a formal current bundle product. Its derived average is 40 Robux per crate.

Dated source offers and conditional arithmetic, rather than a current Shop price list.
Purchase conditionCratesTotal RobuxPer crateChance at 1%
Reported single purchase149 reported491.0%

Fifty repeated singles, same offer assumed502450 derived4939.5%
Faron's reported fifty-crate batch502000 reported40 derived39.5%
Two batches, identical conditions assumed1004000 derived40 derived63.4%

These are different source purchase conditions, not contradictory prices for one confirmed product. Check the current Shop, currency and offer before spending. The cost does not change the fixed-roll chance at the same crate count.

A failed roll does not make Engineer due

Faron reports no Engineer in the first fifty crates, then no success after another fifty. His suggestion that it should drop soon does not follow from independent probability.

With no established pity and an unchanged 1% chance, the next crate remains a 1% roll. The at-least-one chance over a batch is useful for understanding uncertainty; it is not a promise that buying that batch gets the unit.

Can I enter a different drop rate?

Yes. Enter the rate shown for your selected queue. The clears formula assumes one independent crate-drop trial per successful clear and one pull per received crate.

Why is the clear chance lower than the crate chance?

A completed clear first needs to drop a crate. At the default rates, 20% × 1% = 0.2% per successful clear, compared with 1% per opened crate.

Does this track my account?

No. Inputs and results are calculated locally. The tool reads no Roblox account, inventory, purchase history or player luck.

Faron's failed crates and reported Engineer chance

The source describes a one-percent chance and repeated failures. The written model explains why an independent next roll is not due.
