From the lobby to the first clear
- Summon and equip an owned defender. KAPTOH_TD summons a Basic Cameraman and an Epic, then equips them. A unit sitting unequipped in your collection does not form the opening lineup.
- Step onto a match platform. Inspect the mode before starting. The beginner source selects Easy from the available difficulties.
- Place an affordable Cameraman first. Choose a path segment it can reach. Secure opening damage before spending match cash on income or expensive support.
- Watch both front and exit. If enemies leave the first defender alive, add rear coverage or an appropriate upgrade rather than stacking every unit at the entrance.
- Prepare for the source's wave twenty Toilet boss. The shown Easy run meets a boss at wave twenty. Check that damage keeps covering it as it moves; this is a source checkpoint rather than a fixed current wave-count promise.
- Finish the match and return to the lobby. Inspect the actual completion reward and update your team before queueing again.
One reliable opener comes first
If you only have the starting Cameraman, use it and learn the route. A rare Engineer or an income unit is not a prerequisite for beginning the shown Easy path.
Coins recruit. Match cash defends.
| Resource | Where you use it | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Lobby Coins | Summoning/recruiting units and code rewards | The current summon offer and your actual lobby balance. |
| Match cash | Placing and upgrading defenders during a run | Placement price, the next upgrade and coverage needed before the next wave. |
| Robux | Paid Shop offers, where available | The current offer and purchase conditions. Paid crates are separate from basic match progression. |
A dated source budget, with the conditions intact
The older KAPTOH_TD run reports 300 Coins for a Hard completion, then saves a 900-Coin balance for ten summons. That later balance is not the reward for one run. Compare today's summon price and completion screen before planning the same purchase.
The same video mentions an older “Update 0” code and 100 Coins. Exact present spelling and availability are unconfirmed; use the current code reports for copyable strings.
Turn the first clear into three wins
Repeat a match you can finish, preserve an affordable equipped defender and inspect where the last wave first slipped through. Current code publishers report a three-win requirement before using Shop's code field.
Once the requirement is met, return to the lobby, open Shop, scroll to Codes, paste an exact current string and select Redeem. The code page provides copy buttons, status differences and rejected-code checks.
| Problem | Useful next action |
|---|---|
| Enemies leak after passing the opener | Cover the exit or upgrade the part of the lane they survive. |
| Cash disappears before defense holds | Delay discretionary income/support spending and secure the opening first. |
| A trade leaves the team weaker | Keep an affordable opener until the replacement lineup has survived a first match. The source's traded TV Man team later fails a run. |
| Hard feels like a big jump | Return to a mode you can clear, then use the Hard guide's coverage and cash checkpoints. |

Summon, equip, choose Easy and place an opening Cameraman. Older rewards and codes in this video remain dated examples.
